BTS Services

Business Technology Services offers a wide range of technology services to suit clients of various sizes and with different budgets. A one-time clean-up of a laptop crippled with spyware or a comprehensive monthly service contract for multiple users, BTS helps its clients get the most out of their business technology.

Free On-Site Consultation

Typically, BTS conducts an initial on-site consultation at no cost, the focus of which is a complete review of the client’s existing IT environment. This analysis would include a thorough inventory of technology, hardware and software, currently in use, as well as a review of data-backup strategies, including on and off-site storage, product conformance evaluations, and in-house procedures. In addition, this analysis would make recommendations, as necessary, for updating, improving, and/or securing the client’s existing technology, as well as offer suggestions for other products or services which the client might find of value, including training and support.

BTS understands that each client is unique, with a set of specific goals and expectations. Some clients hire BTS just to perform a specific task, such as a server check. Other clients, those running home offices or small firms, for instance, will have BTS do manual back-ups and software updates. In every case, no matter how big or small the job, BTS works in close collaboration with its clients to insure that the technologies they use are appropriate to their business aims, secure against unauthorized access, up-to-date and backed-up, because BTS wants provide its clients with top-quality, convenient and dependable services at the best rates.

Service Contracts

For many BTS clients, a service contract provides them with the level of regular supervision of their IT environment they are looking for, as well as a convenient way to anticipate expenses for budget-planning purposes. A service contract can also be the most cost-effective way to insure optimum technology support (routine periodic testing will improve uptime and dependability) and trouble-shooting, as it is customized to address the client’s specific requirements. Below are just a few of the services that BTS offers in a standard service contract:

  • Perform a regular needs analysis and assessment regarding existing configurations and assist in planning scheduled upgrades
    Troubleshoot outages, performance issues and provide routine/diagnostic service
  • Review routine back-ups of the server and conduct checks of back-up system
  • Install, configure, and maintain the operating system, virus protection, and security patches
  • Be available both for regular support during standard business hours and be for emergency support at all other times (24 hours/7 days) to assist with outages, system failures or other extraordinary performance issues involving client’s equipment and/or software
  • Facilitate repairs to hardware that fails diagnostic testing
  • Oversee repairs to equipment under warranty and obtain estimates for repairs for equipment out of warranty and oversee such repairs
  • Provide pricing and vendor information to allow the client to obtain appropriate hardware and software on the most efficient and economical basis

Pay as you go or Single-task

For clients who are not looking for a service contract but who do need occasional technology support, either on-site or by telephone, BTS offers very reasonable support rates. On-site support is billed in 15-minute increments, with a minimum of one hour. Telephone and remote support calls are billed in 15-minute increments, with no minimum. Standard billing rates are as follows:

Hourly Pricing Information

There is a one-hour minimum for all on-site calls. The time after that initial hour will be billed in 15-minute increments. All telephone and remote support calls are billed at 15-minute increments as well. Standard on-site billing rates are as follows:
